Ronald G. “John” Bargerstock
Ronald G. “John” Bargerstock, age 77, of Greensboro, died Friday, February 13, 2015 in W.V.U. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia following a lengthy illness.
He was born January 22, 1938 in Mapletown, a son of the late Raymond Henry “Chuck” and Marguerite Elizabeth “Peg” (Leach) Bargerstock and attended Mapletown High School.
Mr. Bargerstock served in the United States Navy from 1955 through 1961 and was last stationed aboard the USS Leyte. Upon returning home he went to work for Dyna Power as an electrical technician and later worked for Alpha Power. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most outdoor sports as well as watching sports on television, woodworking, building model boats, airplanes and remote controlled vehicles.
Most important to him was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
On October 15, 1965, he married Mildred Marie Young who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Butch Bargerstock and Rick Ray Bargerstock, both of Georgia and Ronald D. Bargerstock of Taylor, Michigan; one daughter Lisa Grimm (Neil) of Monroe, Michigan; five step children; Sharon Bommarito, Joan McCormick, Roger Haney, Steve Haney and Janet Del toro; 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren in this wonderfully blended family; one brother, Lyman Allen “Pete” Bargerstock (Emma) of Shreveport, Louisiana; a sister Constance L. Stansfield of Greensboro and a sister in law, Rebecca Ann Bargerstock of Carmichaels. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents is a brother, Kenneth A. Bargerstock.
Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
