Lenore Baldwin Bristor

Lenore Baldwin Bristor, 104, formerly of Washington, died Sunday evening, February 15, 2015, in Washington County Health Center.

She was born November 2, 1910, in Morris Township, Greene County, a daughter of Murdock C. Baldwin and Estella Spillman Baldwin.

From 1954 to 2005, Mrs. Bristor resided in the Gabby Heights area of Washington. She attended Temple University of Philadelphia. Mrs. Bristor was a Trinity School District cafeteria worker. She also worked at Washington & Jefferson College bookstore and at Krause Pharmacy in Washington for 10 years.

She was a former member of Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church, Prosperity, and a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Washington. She was also a volunteer for activities at Church of the Covenant, Washington. Mrs. Bristor was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and leader of Rainbow Girls at the Masonic Lodge in Washington.

On August 10, 1934, she married John W. Bristor, who died February 24, 1968.

Mrs. Bristor was the last of her immediate family.

Surviving are a niece, Lenore T. Stout and husband Senator J. Barry Stout of Bentleyville; five great-nieces, Lisa Stout-Bashioum, her guardian, Lori Jansante, Sharee Stout, Shannon Hemmingson and Bethany Stout; a great-nephew, John B. Stout; and 15 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a sister, Lanomi B. Thompson, and a brother, Charles E. “Bud” Baldwin.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., corner of Wilson and East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, with the Rev. Andy Scott officiating. Private burial will be held Thursday, February 19, in Prosperity Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Presbyterian Church, 900 East Beau Street, Washington, PA 15301, or to Washington County Health Center, 36 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, PA 15301.
