CLUB MEETING – The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for the annual Arts program. All entries of the 2015 Arts Contest, “The Arts Cupboard,” will be on display. Dave Lesako, local artist, will be the guest speaker. Contest winners from the Carmichaels Area School District will be recognized. All members are invited to attend. New members are welcome.

COMMUNITY BREAKFAST – A community breakfast will be held at the Rogersville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 8 to 10 a.m. Menu will include pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, bacon, home fries and more. FOOD DRIVE – A Community Food Drive is being held now through Feb. 12. Drop off food at the Rogersville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Please help your community by donating non-perishable food items. Call 724-998-1076 for more info.

COMMUNITY DINNER – A community dinner will be held at Rogersville United Methodist Church (Social Hall) on Friday, Jan. 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal will be creamed chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, peas, applesauce, dessert and beverage. DINNER THEATRE – Musical Mysteries & More and Thistlethwaite Vineyards will present “I Spy Five Spies,” an “Unusual Suspects” mystery caper, on Saturday, Jan. 31. Cost is $45, which includes an all-inclusive dinner and cash wine bar. Complimentary wine tasting before doors open. Doors open at 6 p.m. For reservations, call 724-883-3372.

SPECIAL EVENT – Wine and chocolate are on the menu for February. Plan to bring your favorite valentine to the Friends of the Bowlby Library Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m., at The Lodge at Rohanna’s in Waynesburg. Shields Vineyard and Thistlewaite Vineyards will be showcasing their local wines. There will also be two Chocolatier vendors at the event. SKATE PARTY – A “Valentine Skate Party” will be held at Mon View Park, located at 377 Stoney Hill Road in Greensboro, on Friday, Feb. 13 from 7 to 11 p.m. Wear red or pink and receive a special treat.
