Wilda G. Moore Rush, 94, of Waynesburg, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the Respicenter in Waynesburg.

She was born Sunday, April 10, 1921 in Daybrook, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Learnie D. Moore and Grace Hughes Grey Moore.

Mrs. Rush was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waynesburg. She was a Life member of both the V.F.W. Post #4793 Aux. and the Women of the Moose both of Waynesburg. She was an avid bingo player and followed Waynesburg Raider Football for four generations. She had worked at Murphy’s, A&P Grocery, and the Krency’s Bakery all of Waynesburg and was a homemaker.

Her husband, Cary William Rush, Jr., whom she married on October 12, 1940, died August 1, 2004.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel R. (Shannon) Rush, and Robert A.(Julie) Rush, all of Waynesburg; two daughters-in-law, Ginger Rush and Barb Rush both of Waynesburg; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Deceased are one daughter and son-in-law, Helen June and Roger Haught; two sons, Cary William “Snooke” Rush, and Richard L.”Dick” Rush; three brothers, Bus Moore, Donald Moore, and Keith Moore; one half sister, Donnis Jones and four half brothers, Clayton Grey, Ralph Grey, Cecil Grey and Glenn Hughes.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 with Rev. William Sukolsky officiating. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA. The Women of the Moose Collegiates will hold a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Funeral Home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Respicenter Activities, 154 West High St,. Waynesburg, PA 15370.
