The 2015 Baby Rain Day contest will once again be held. Each year a new Baby Rain Day King, Queen, Prince and Princess is crowned and honored on the Rain Day stage.

Each child that enters will receive a certificate of participation and a “thank you” gift provided by the Special Events Commission.

The winners will receive a cash prize, crown or tiara, title banner, special gifts and the honor of representing Rain Day throughout the coming year.

Winners in each category are determined by the number of votes received (one dollar equals one vote). Proceeds go to organize next year’s Rain Day and a portion will be donated to the Humane Society of Greene County.

The contestant canisters will be displayed at the Special Events Commission booth on Rain Day until 3 p.m.

All participants should be present at Rain Day at 7 p.m. near the stage. The winners will be announced and crowned on stage. Participation gifts for all contestants may be picked up on Rain Day at the borough office after 7:30 p.m. The “Best Decorated” can will receive a $25 cash prize; the winning can will be selected by members of the committee.

The contestant cans will be on display at First Federal Savings and Loan of Greene County in Waynesburg until Rain Day.
