Anna M. “Annie” Mason
Anna M. “Annie” Mason, 55, of Carmichaels, formerly of Aleppo Township, died unexpectedly at 3 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Washington Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1960, in Cameron, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Don Lee and Anna Margaret Miscovich Smith.
Mrs. Mason resided in Aleppo Township, prior to moving to Carmichaels in 2003.
She was a 1978 graduate of Hundred High School in West Virginia.
Mrs. Mason was a former home health aide for United Cerebral Palsy and was last employed as a van monitor for First Student, prior to retiring in 2009, due to ill health.
On June 23, 2001, she married Brian Lee Mason, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, William Lee Mason at home, Lonnie Smith of Littleton, West Virginia, Shawnic Smith of Crafton and Beth Ann Smith of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Colby and Noah Smith and Franklin Dawson; 10 brothers and sisters, Robert Smith of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Don, husband of Brenda Smith of Vincent, Ohio, David Smith of Littleton, James, husband of Debbie Smith of St. Mary’s, West Virginia, Mark, husband of Joyce Smith of Littleton, Donald, husband of Sandy Smith of Littleton, Janice Church of Cleburn, Texas, Selena Smith of Cameron, Mary, wife of Frank Gorby of Littleton, and Christine, wife of Steve Adams of New Matamoras, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a brother, Michael Smith, and a sister, Janis Smith.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, with Pastor Rick Croyle officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Springhill Township.
