Creative collaboration benefits area students
Pictured are students and staff from a creative collaboration with Greene County Career and Technology Center’s (GCCTC) Child Care Services Program, Community Action Southwest’s Pre-K Program (Ms. Longstreth and Ms. Manko, teachers), and Mrs. Echegaray’s Waynesburg Elementary School kindergarten class. GCCTC students prepared spring-themed activities for the young students. Mrs. Parker (GCCTC’s Child Care Services Program Instructor) read “The Grouchy Ladybug” to the students and donated the book to each class. The Child Care Services class invites different classes to come once a month to the GCCTC to enjoy a new book, crafts, activities and singing. The preschool and kindergarten students always look forward to their special “fun time” at GCCTC and the Child Care Services Program students gain valuable hands-on experience working with young children.
