Richard C. Rose, 62, of Center Township, Greene County, formerly of Washington and McKeesport, died unexpectedly at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, in his home, as a result of natural causes.

He was born July 6, 1953, in McKeesport, a son of the late Samuel Thomas and Daisy Irene Hutchison Rose.

Prior to moving to Center Township in 2005, Mr. Rose resided in Washington for 14 years.

He was a 1971 graduate of McKeesport Senior High School.

Mr. Rose was employed in medical facilities administration for more than 40 years. Prior to his retirement in 2014, he was employed for 24 years as senior facilities director for Allegheny Health System at Canonsburg Hospital.

He enjoyed following his daughter in softball, hunting, fishing, golf and watching college sports. He was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams.

On September 17, 1983, he married Cheryl Ann Otroba, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Lauren Rose and fiancé Darren Geller of Holbrook; a brother, Samuel and wife Bonnie Rose of North Huntington; a sister, Patricia and husband Butch Brenneman of Lancaster; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He also leaves behind his pets Goldendoodles, Bailey and Ziggy.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Colorectal Cancer Research, in care of Allegheny General Hospital, 320 East North Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
