Emily “Toots” Henrish
Emily “Toots” Henrish, age 81, of Carmichaels passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Ewing Manor Personal Care Home in Waynesburg surrounded by her family.
She was born March 16, 1934 in Morgan Township, a daughter of the late Calvin and Emily Schmidtke Smitley.
On June 8, 1956 she married James W. Henrish, who died May 9, 2009.
Mrs. Henrish was a homemaker and had worked for several years as a seamstress at Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are a son, James Henrish (Michelle) of Carmichaels; a daughter, Kim Swartz of Ohio; two grandchildren, Jimmy Henrish and Jennifer Henrish; two great-granddaughters, Max Marie Henrish and Reese Camryn Henrish; and one brother Elmer Smitley of Lippencott.
Deceased are three brothers, Herb Smitley, Art Smitley, and William Smitley; and four sisters, Wilma Havanis, JoAnn Paulson, Gert Krieger and Pauline Burich.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of services on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, with Rev. J. Francis Frazer officiating followed by burial in Jefferson Cemetery.
