Alberta L. Jones, age 94, of Waynesburg, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Golden Living Center in Waynesburg.

She was born September 7, 1921 in Franklin Township, a daughter of the late Frank and Goldie Pearle Gump Hull.

She was married to Delbert G. Jones Sr., who died February 1, 1969.

Mrs. Jones worked as a waitress at Myrtle’s Town House in Waynesburg for six years. She later worked for 14 years in the Sears Catalog Store in Waynesburg.

She resided in Waynesburg her entire life except for eight years in New Kensington.

She was a Protestant by faith.

Surviving are a son, Delbert G. Jones Jr. of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Brian Jones (Kathy), Christie Coursin and Chad Coursin; and five great-grandchildren.

Deceased in addition to her husband is a daughter, Karen Coursin.

As requested by Mrs. Jones, there will be no public visitation. Private interment will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg. Arrangements are being handled by Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg.
