Helen Louise Orndoff
Helen Louise Orndoff, 74, of Washington, died Thursday, October 1, 2015, in her home.
She was born May 25, 1941, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Furman Adamson and Beatrice Lippencott Adamson.
Mrs. Orndoff graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School.
She worked for 16 years at Gospel Treasures Bookstore.
Mrs. Orndoff loved reading and had a God-given talent for finding underground water for others, never charging for her services.
She was an active member of Church of Christ, where she taught religious classes.
On March 30, 1960, she married Frederick Earl Orndoff, who died April 26, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Orndoff (Wendy Jo) of Gulf Shores, Alabama; two daughters, Kimberly Taylor (Jim) of Washington and Penny Orndoff (Randy) of Waynesburg; two sisters, Erma Katchmark of Waynesburg and Sue Grable of Wesley Chapel, Florida; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Cheyenne, Kordell, Randall, Melissa, Chelsie Jo and Kyler and four great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Tyler, Alexis and Kasidee.
Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 5, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with David Deagel officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
