Thomas Randal “Randy” Corwin
Thomas Randal “Randy” Corwin, 60, of Avella, Blaine Township, and formerly of Greene County, died unexpectedly of natural causes in his home Tuesday, October 20, 2015, after being in failing health for the past several years.
He was born February 22, 1955, in Waynesburg, a son of the late William “Bill” Delbert and Lana Edna Jane Waychoff Corwin.
He had been a resident of Blaine Township for the past 29 years.
Mr. Corwin was baptized in and formerly attended North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, and was a 1974 graduate of Waynesburg High School.
He was an avid hunter, as long as his health permitted, and also enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.
Mr. Corwin was a former laborer in pipeline construction and was employed by the former Columbia Gas Co. (NiSource) in Bethel Park for 24 years, prior to retiring as a foreman (A/man) in 2009.
Surviving are a son, William Randolph Scott Corwin of Avella; two daughters, Melissa Sokol of Washington and Amanda, wife of Dominec DeJulio, of Bridgeville; a grandson, Anthony Thomas Sokol; five brothers, Charles W., husband of Jean Corwin, of Waynesburg, Gary L., husband of Brenda Corwin, of Archdale, North Carolina, David L. “Beep”, husband of Suzy Corwin, of Spraggs, John E. “Jack” Corwin, companion of Jenny Victor, of Holbrook and Patrick J. Corwin of Carmichaels; two sisters, Diana Ankrom, companion of Keith Hillberry, of West Finley and Bonnie, wife of William Fisher, of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
