Moore Catholic, from Staten Island, N.Y., scored four runs in the top of the third inning and that was enough offense Friday afternoon for a 4-3 win against West Greene in the Ripken Experience.

Angela Reno had an RBI triple and Amy Ribaudo later followed with a two-run triple. Victoria Grillo brought home the eventual winning run on a sacrifice fly.

West Greene (3-1) started to creep back when Bailey Bennington belted a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Kaitlyn Rizor then legged out an inside-the-park home run in the sixth inning. Madison Lampe had an RBI single in the inning, but the Lady Pioneers were unable to plate the tying run in the bottom of the seventh.

Madison Renner struck out three and allowed seven hits in the loss and had a pair of hits. Bennington went 2-for-4.
