Louella Stalnaker, 74, of New Freeport, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born August 23, 1941, in Hundred, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Bernard Peterson and Julia Madeline Stout.

Mrs. Stalnaker was the beloved wife of 55 years to Roger Stalnaker; cherished mother of Christine Stalnaker, Lisa Metz, Roger Stalnaker II and Ann Marie Stalnaker; and sister of Myrna Lesnock, Marcella Rizor, Arbutus Craig, Lesetta Briggs, Faye Brockman and Nelson Peterson. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her greatest gift in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, in Centennial Cemetery, Aleppo, with Pastor Steve Stevens officiating. Services entrusted to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home LLC., 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville.
