The Jefferson-Morgan High School Art Club will be holding its annual art show on Wednesday, May 4, in the high school cafeteria.

The hours are from 6 to 8 p.m, and the show is open to the public. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.

“I’m happy to give back to the J-M art program after the years of knowledge it gave me,” said Ally Bogden, club member. I’m really glad to see people in the community come to the art show and support it as much as they do.”

On display will be students’ artwork, including oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings; Raku and gloss glaze pottery; drawings done in pastel, colored pencil, markers, spray paint; and photography. Most of these pieces will also be up for sale, through a silent auction process. All proceeds will go to the Jefferson-Morgan High School Art Club.

“It is wonderful that this event has grown the way it has over the years,” said Michael Lesko, club sponsor. “I love that it allows our students to showcase their work and bring some art and culture to Greene County at the same time. This is our sixth year for the show, and it is always an enjoyable evening for the local community.”

For more information about the show, call the school at 724-883-2310, ext. 2113; or email Michael Lesko at mlesko@jmsd.org.
