Police investigating death

State police in Waynesburg are investigating the death of a 39-year-old woman who was found in her bed at her residence at Loves Hill Extension in Franklin Township on April 17. The preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play in the death of Kellie Anne Crockard of Carmichaels, police said. An exact cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy, police said.

Hit and run

State police said a vehicle driven by Virginia E. Gallagher, 50, of Waynesburg struck a parked vehicle in a parking lot on Elm Drive in Franklin Township at 2:30 p.m. April 13. No injuries were reported.

Phone stolen

A phone was stolen from a locker in the Jefferson-Morgan High School field house at 5:43 p.m. on April 20, state police said. Police ask anyone with information about the theft to call the station at 724-627-6151.

Woman charged

Loretta Morris, 35, of Dunkard Township was arrested on public drunkenness charges in the parking lot of the Huddle House in Perry Township at 8:15 a.m. on April 20, state police said.

Warrant arrest

Christopher Roman Ysbrand, 28, of Oklahoma was arrested on a warrant from his home state during the inspection of a truck carrying a super load at the I-79 Welcome Center in Whiteley Township at 12:12 p.m. on April 18, state police said. Ysbrand was an escort driver for the truck, police said.

Weed trimmer stolen

Susan Jones of New Freeport reported that sometime between April 13 and 20 someone stole her weed trimmer from her residence on Jollytown Road in Gilmore Township, state police said.
