Rohanna misses the cut in Texas

By Jim Downey, For The Greene County Messenger 1 min read

Rachel Rohanna needed a birdie-birdie finish to make the cut in the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout presented by JTBC when she returned to the Las Colinas Country Club early Saturday morning.

However, the Waynesburg Central graduate carded a pair of closing pars to miss the cut by two strokes with a two-round total of 3-over 145. Rohanna shot an even-par 71 in the second round after opening with a 3-over 74.

Rohanna started on No. 10 with a bogey-6, but came right back with a birdie. Seven straight pars followed to go out in even-par 35.

As she had on the front, Rohanna opened her back nine with a bogey.

She then birdied the last hole she played before play was suspended.
