Marilyn Joanne Lahew Medlick
Marilyn Joanne Lahew Medlick, 73, of Mather, died at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born Monday, October 26, 1942 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late William Blair Lahew and Alice Gertrude Cox Lahew.
Mrs. Medlick was a member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church.
When her health permitted she worked as a housekeeper for several different families. She was also a homemaker.
Her first husband, Raymond Earl Pifer died June 4, 1965; her second husband, Edward Thomas Medlick died August 7, 2015.
Surviving are two sons, Randell Blair Pifer and Thomas Edward Medlick, both of Mather; two grandchildren, Skyler Blair and Robert Thomas Medlick; three sisters, Connie Loughman, of Sycamore, Pam Clark, of Holbrook and Carolyn “Pee Wee” Mankey,of Nineveh; three brothers, her twin, William Jack Lahew, of Claysville, Stanley David “Peeper” Lahew, of Cameron, West Virginia and Jeffrey Blair Lahew, of Claysville; one step brother, Terry Varner of Marietta, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 with her sister, Connie Loughman, officiating. Burial will be in Greene Co. Memorial Park, Morgan Twp, Greene Co.
