Kathryn Albert “Kay” Menni
Kathryn Albert “Kay” Menni, 87, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born December 15, 1928, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Sherwin Albert and Penelope Elefterous Albert.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Raymond E. Menni; a son, William E. Menni; and seven brothers and sisters, Sherwin Albert, Edward Albert, George Albert, Sophie Albert, Helen Georgalas, Ann Scott and Mary Scott.
Mrs. Menni was a 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School and a 1950 graduate of New York Institute of Dietetics.
She was initially employed as a dietician and later worked for many years for Uniontown Area School District as a secretary.
Mrs. Menni was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 263, Uniontown, and was a volunteer with Uniontown Hospital Auxiliary for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Menni enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Dr. Barbara Menni Juriga and husband of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Vanessa Juriga of Manhattan, N.Y., and Max Juriga, Jordan Menni and Jason Menni, all of Pittsburgh; a brother, Thomas Albert of Waynesburg; a daughter-in-law, Jody Menni of Pittsburgh; and a son-in-law, Raymond Juriga of Irwin.
Family and friends were received from noon to 4 p.m., the time of a service celebrating Mrs. Menni’s life, Sunday, December 4, in Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematories Inc., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, with Pastor Nicholas Cook and the Rev. James Gear co-officiating. Interment was private. Eastern Star services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
