Thomas Lee Garber, 51, passed away suddenly Sunday, November 20, 2016.

He was born December 6, 1964, in San Diego, California, a son of the late James H. and Janice Calvert Garber.

Mr. Garber resided in Waynesburg for most of his life. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan.

He was a member of local Labor Union 77 for more than 30 years and was an active member of Loyal Order of Moose for more than 30 years.

Mr. Garber enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He also loved playing horseshoes and was in a league, where he was champion two years in a row. He loved his dog, JD, as his child and enjoyed spending time with him and his close family and friends. He was known to help anyone as much as possible and tried to have a smile on his face as much as he could.

Surviving are a daughter, McKenzie Garber Dougal of Waynesburg; a son, Jonathan Garber of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Skyler and Eva, both of Waynesburg; two sisters, Pamela Thompson and Denise Herrington, both of Waynesburg; two brothers, James L. Garber of Waynesburg and Phillip Garber of Maryland; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are grandparents Carlton (Thomas) Calvert, Marjorie Calvert and Ruth Garber and a nephew, Tyler Garber.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 9, in East Franklin Grange Hall 1709, 2262 Smith Creek Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
