PAJAMA PARTY – On Friday, Dec. 9, the Children’s and Family Literacy departments at the Bowlby Library will be hosting an After Hours Holiday Pajama Party. Join the library from 4-8 p.m. for a viewing of a holiday movie; the library will also share warm cookies and milk, along with games, seasonal crafts and activities. Family members are invited and encouraged to attend. Don’t forget to wear your Christmas jammies. Call the library at 724-627-9776 to register.

SQUARE DANCE – A square dance (also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more) will be held Friday, Dec. 9, from 7-10 p.m. at the Center Twp. Fire Hall in Rogersville. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $7 per adult, $10 per couple or $5 for youths ages 12-18. Beginners welcome — or just come and watch. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. Benefits Center Twp. HOLIDAY EVENTS – The annual Mt. Morris Christmas Craft Show will be held at the Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Dept. on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also, the annual Mt. Morris Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, beginning at 2 p.m.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION – Center Township will hold a Community Christmas Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 10, beginning with a small parade at 4 p.m., tree decorating at 5 p.m. and tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., followed by refreshments and pictures with Santa at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home in Rogersville.

HYMN SING – A “Greene County Hymn Sing” will be held at Rogersville United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. Individuals and groups are invited to come and participate. Light refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the hymn sing. The public is invited to attend. Call 724-499-5590 or 724-833-3845 for additional info.

CRAFT BLAST – The annual Holiday Craft Blast, sponsored by Nathanael Greene CDC, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greene County Fairgrounds. This year, over 60 vendors will be on hand to sell their creations. All three buildings will be filled with items for the last-minute shopper. A variety of homemade soups and sandwiches will be sold in the bottom of the 4H building. Raffle baskets will be available in the Auction Building with a special donation from the Steelers, a signed photo of Antonio Brown.

EMPTY CHAIR – The 11th annual “Empty Chair at Christmas” Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Waynesburg. The service will be led by Rev. Dr. Donald Wilson. Following the service, everyone is invited for refreshments and fellowship. The annual event is sponsored by GriefSHARE, a support group for those touched by the loss of a loved one.

ELECTRONICS COLLECTION – The quarterly electronics collection will be held at the Greene County Fairgrounds Arena Barn on Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 2-5 p.m.

CHRISTMAS PARTY – Waynesburg Community Center will be holding their annual Christmas Party on Thursday, Dec. 22, from 10 to 11 a.m., with lunch following at 11:30 a.m. Entertainment will be the Ambassadors for Christ, and Santa will be there to hand out gifts. Those planning on attending this function must sign up ahead of time, so there will be enough food and gifts for everyone. Call the center and tell them you want to come. The number is 724-627-6366.

HOLIDAY ESCAPE – A “Holiday Escape” will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mon View Skating Rink in Greensboro. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Free skating and food, games and prices. Event is sponsored by the Greene County commissioners, Human Services Dept. and the Greene County MAGIC Collaborative, Family Stability Community Team.
