Victoria J. Hastings, 68, of Nemacolin, died at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born February 1, 1948 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late James L. Sloneker and Ruth (Johnson) Romesburg.

Mrs. Hastings was a 1966 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in Nemacolin most of her married life. She attended the First Christian Church in Carmichaels and retired from the Flushing Shirt Factory.

Mrs. Hastings cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

On April 6, 1974, she married Thomas W. Hastings, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Thomas W. Hastings, Jr. and his wife, Angie and Sam H. Hastings and his wife, Beth, all of Carmichaels; three grandsons, Dustin T. Hastings, Eli H. Hastings and Luke W. Hastings; two sisters, Linda Cantrell and her husband, Norm, of Memphis, Tennessee and Kathy Greenawalt and her husband, Allan, of Greensboro and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, Harry Sloneker.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. The Rev. Reagan L. Fike will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church, 235 S Market St, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
