Edwin Lee Pyles
Edwin Lee Pyles, age 72, of Carmichaels, formerly of Fairmont, West Virginia, died Monday January 11, 2016 in his home after a long illness.
Mr. Pyles was born November 2, 1943 in Fairmont, the son of the late Ira Lee and Evelyn H. Morris Pyles.
Mr. Pyles was a graduate of East Fairmont High in 1961, and worked as an electrician for 45 years for R & E Electric Co. of Fairmont.
He served in the U.S. Army in Japan in the early 1960’s.
Mr. Pyles was a member of American Legion Post 400, Carmichaels and the Waynesburg Moose Lodge.
After retirement, he enjoyed just sitting on his front porch, and drinking a beer in the summer months. He was a Pittsburgh Pirates and West Virginia University football and basketball fan.
On November 8, 2004, Edwin married Belinda Davis Hillsman Pyles who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Kody, Kari Ann, Greg, Kevin, and Kent Pyles; 14 grandchildren including McKenna Sines, who they are raising; two sisters, Diana Flowers and Jona Ra Williamson and a brother, Kevin Pyles.
A son Ronny Pyles is deceased.
Family and friends will be received in the Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the evening with Reverend Stan Jenkins, officiating. Full Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 400 and V.F.W. Post 3491 at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
