Donald K. Hice
Donald K. Hice, 71, of Jefferson, died Monday, January 4, 2016, in the home of his son, Mark and Deborah Hice.
He was born July 5, 1944, in Uniontown, a son of the late Donald Bernard and Jane Rockwell Hice.
On June 15, 1968, he married Bonnie Carol Myers, who died May 21, 2000.
On August 5, 2001, he married Gloria Jean Weimer, who survives.
Mr. Hice was a retired coal miner with Maple Creek/Murray Coal Mine.
He enjoyed country and gospel music, fishing, tinkering in his garage, being outdoors and working on and building a stock car for racing.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four children, Mary Jane Hackney (Terry) of Pensacola, Florida, Donald Mark Hice (Deborah) of Jefferson, Teri Smith of Norfolk, Virginia and Kimberly Thomas of Monongahela; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry Glenn Hice of Ralph; and a sister, Colleen Frankhouser (Gil) of Adah.
Mr. Hice will be missed by his dog, Snoopy, and cats Garfield and Patches.
Deceased, in addition to his first wife, is a brother, John “Chip” Hice.
