Strong first half difference in Trojans’ 66-34 win

The Trojans scored 50 points in the first half Friday night as visiting California coasted to a 66-34 Section 3-A victory at Jefferson-Morgan.

California (6-1, 9-4) led 30-4 after the first quarter and 50-18 at halftime. The teams played to a 16-16 tie in the second half.

The Trojans’ Kass Taylor had his fourth double-double of the season with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Gage Clark led the Rockets (2-5, 3-12) with 21 points, including five 3-pointers. D.L. Garrett added 10.
