Waynesburg tops Bulldogs, 78-69

Darton McIntire poured in a game-high 36 points to help lead Waynesburg Central past visiting Beth-Center, 78-69, in a key Section 4-AA boys basketball game on Tuesday night.

Mitch Warman added 10 points for the Raiders (8-7, 5-4), who solidified their hold on third place in the section.

Brady McDonnell led a balanced attack for the Bulldogs (6-7, 3-5) with 19 points. He was followed by Nick Pryor (16), Luke Hess (15) and Brennan Stanley 10.

Beth-Center, which is tied for fourth place with Frazier for the final playoff spot in the section, trailed 23-20 after one period and 43-34 at halftime, but played Waynesburg even in the second half to stay in the game.
