Kenneth G. Brown
Kenneth G. Brown, 82, of Waynesburg, died at 9:38 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, in the Point Manor Personal Care in Point Marion.
He was born Thursday, March 1, 1934 in Centerville, a son of the late Victor Brown and Gail Yorty Brown.
Mr. Brown was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. He was a Veteran having served with the United States Airforce during the Korean War. He was a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post #330 of Waynesburg and a former member of both the Waynesburg Elks Lodge #757 and the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge #153 F & AM. After working in an auto parts store he owned and operated the Lincoln Hill Reddog in Washington. He later drove Coach Bus for Central Cab in Waynesburg retiring in 1997.
His wife, Joan Devine Nuss Brown whom he married on June 12, 1954 died April 24, 2010.
Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Allison, of Morgantown, West Virginia; one son, Douglas R. ( Elizabeth H.) Brown, of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Korey) Grooms, Adam (Melanie) Allison, Lauren Allison, Nicole (Anthony) Gitto and Brandon (Meghan) Brown and three great-grandchildren, Alessandra, Cristiano, and Aubrey.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services. Private services will be held at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, with Rev. David Lake officiating. Private burial will be in the West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander.
