Christopher, Confortini, Reed named all-section first team
Three Greene County players were named to the Section 2-A girls volleyball All-Stars first team.
Carmichaels right-side hitter Taylor Christopher, who is a freshman, was named to the first team, as was Jefferson-Morgan senior setter Erin Confortini and West Greene junior libero Hannah Reed.
Frazier led the first-team with three players. Coach Mandy Hartman’s team was represented by Skye Eicher, Hannah Fell and Annya Kossol. Eicher is a freshman outside hitter, and Fell and Kossol are senior middle hitters.
California senior middle hitter Kiera Tyler and junior middle hitter Annalise Gillespie were also named to the first team as was Bentworth junior middle hitter Jenna Vito and Geibel Catholic senior middle hitter Grace Nowicki.
Carmichaels, Frazier and California all had two representatives on the second team.
The Lady Mikes’ Jadyn Barnish and Elaine Kerr were named to the second team, Khristyne Barch and Logan Hartman made the team for the Lady Commodores and Rebecca Staley and Kylie Trusler were the Lady Trojans’ representatives.
The Lady Bearcats’ Chase Watson, the Lady Gators’ Alexa Henckel, the Lady Rockets’ Autumn Tedrow and the Lady Pioneers’ Lexie Mooney made the second team.
Carmichaels, Jefferson-Morgan and Mapletown had three players named to the third team.
The Lady Mikes were represented by Kristina Aeschbacher and Aubree Ferek, the Lady Rockets’ Jamie Lawrence and Anna Mattish made the team, and the Lady Maples’ Makenzie Cree and Taylor Vanata earned third-team honors.
Bentworth’s Grace Marchezak, California’s Jenna Miller, Geibel Catholic’s Lauren Tomasko and West Greene’s Linzee Stover rounded out the third team.
