Albert Jack Wise
Albert Jack Wise, 76, of Waynesburg, died at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia after a short battle with cancer.
He was born Monday, April 22, 1940 in Wayne Twp., a son of the late Ira Buss Wise and Verda Jane Phillips Wise.
He was a lifelong resident of Greene County. Mr. Wise was a member of the Rolling Meadows Church of God in Waynesburg. He was a member of the Birch Spring Camp of Huntingdon County. Mr. Wise was a third generation worker for People’s Natural Gas for 27 years retiring in 1995.
His wife, Barbara Keller Wise, whom he married on June 2, 1962, survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Laurie (David) Price of Waynesburg; one son, James Edward (Sue) Wise of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Tara Lee (Jonathan) Briggs, Hanna Belle Price, Emily Ann Wise and David John Price; two sisters, Clara Lea Gaston of Waynesburg and Linda Hall of Waynesburg and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one sister, Louie Mae Wise and one brother, Joseph Ira Wise.
There will be no public visitation. Services were private and held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Lanfer Simpson officiating. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Fairall Cemetery, Whiteley Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center, 1200 JD Anderson Drive, Morgantown, West Virginia 26505.
