Enid H. Crockard
Enid H. Crockard, age 92, of Rices Landing, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Evergreen Assisted Living in Waynesburg.
She was born October 28, 1924 in Crucible, a daughter of the late James Monroe Waters and Daisy Kaylor Waters.
She was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School and Waynesburg College.
On August 21, 1947 she married Charles R. Crockard who died November 25, 2006.
Mrs. Crockard was a retired teacher. She taught Spanish and history at Fairchance-Georges High School.
She was a member of Hewitt Presbyterian Church in Rices Landing, where she sang in the choir and played the violin. She was also a member of the Rices Landing American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Crockard’s hobbies were music, traveling, reading, and genealogy.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Surviving are a son, James E. (Susan) Crockard of Moundsville, West Virginia; a daughter, Randy (John) Kniha of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, James E. (Melanie) Crockard III of Sewickley, Brian A. (Kaity) Crockard of Rices Landing, Frank B. (Jessica) Crockard of Monongahela, Charles R. Crockard of Rices Landing, Kristopher J. (Stacie) Kniha of Washington, and Kelly Adam (Connie) Kniha of Beijing, China; eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Jocelyn, Denver, Emilee, and Karlee Crockard, and Ezra and Esther Kniha.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with Rev. Geoff Rach officiating followed by interment in Hewitt Cemetery in Rices Landing.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hewitt Presbyterian Church, 1206 Crucible Road, Rices Landing, PA 15357.
