Joseph T. “Tom” Redman
Joseph T. “Tom” Redman, 87 of Clarksville, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born April 24, 1929 in Arnold City, Fayette County, a son of the late Elmer and Alice Zielenski Redman.
Mr. Redman served in the US Army in Japan at the end of WWII. He was a retired coal miner. He worked for 35 years at Gateway Mine. Mr. Redman loved gardening, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eleanor Sellers; a son, Robert A. (Kelly) Redman of Clarksville; a daughter, Cynthia R. Redman (Timothy Show) of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Renlee Show, and Brian and Peter Lockette; a sister, Dorothy (Ed) Miller of Cleveland, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Elmer Redman.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 26 with Fr. J. Francis Frazer officiating. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, 1003 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 954 and the US Army.
