Food Bank to host holiday food drive
Corner Cupboard Food Bank, in collaboration with Consol Energy, will host a holiday food drive and fundraiser on the steps of the Greene County Courthouse from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1.
Nonperishable food items and monetary donations will be accepted on-site. Tickets for a chance to win one of several raffle baskets will be on sale during the hours of the drive.
Donations for Corner Cupboard also will be collected during Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful’s Christmas open house from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2, on Dec. 3 before and during the Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Parade that begins at 2 p.m. and during the “Christmas in the ‘Burg” event that follows from 5 to 8 p.m.
