Flora Jean Kubasik, age 86, of Clarksville, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg.

She was born January 14, 1930 in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Albert Alonzo Byers and Thresia Kime Byers Veres.

She was a graduate of Jefferson High School.

On February 24, 1951 she married Charles R. Kubasik. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage until he passed away on May 11, 1010.

Mrs. Kubasik was a dedicated homemaker and a fabulous cook. She was Catholic by faith.

Surviving are four children, Patty (Dave) Simkovic of Clarksville, Darla Hayhurst of Morgantown, West Virginia, Chuck (Jill) Kubasik of Rices Landing, Richard (Catrina) Kubasik of Jefferson; eight grandchildren, Jerry (Carrie) Simkovic, Lori (Ken) Wisniewski, Robert (Kristan) Beglin, Ryanne (Bob) Rice, Terra (J.D.) Pyles, Chris Martin, Katrina Kubasik and Katherine (Russ) Fine; two step-grandsons, Brant (Amy) Collins and Cory (Anjela) Collins; six great-grandchldren, Morgan and Colby Simkovic, Tanner and Ethan Wisniewski, Spencer and Conrad Beglin, Colin and Patrick Rice, Kaiden and Kyla Collins and Annabelle Collins and one brother, Albert J. Byers of Tavares, Florida.

Deceased is a sister, Shirley Mae Potter.

She also leaves behind her beloved fur-baby, Kit.

Friends were received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Behm Funeral homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where a blessing service was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, with Rev. J. Francis Frazer officiating followed by interment in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
