Items stolen
State police are investigating a break-in at a shed owned by Tabitha Gorbey at 47 Jefferson Estates in Waynesburg sometime between Sept. 26-30. Stolen were two snap-on toolboxes containing various snap-on hand tools, a car stereo system including speakers and wires, and a 55-gallon fish tank. I-79 crash
A vehicle driven by Austin Peck, 19, of Martinsburg, W.Va., traveling south in the left lane on Interstate 79 in Perry Twp., spun out of control at 10:19 p.m. Sept. 29 and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Gaven Hale, 21, of Kearneysville, W.Va., also traveling south in the right lane, state police said. Both vehicles traveled of the right side of the roadway and struck guardrails. No injuries were reported, police said.
Nail spa entered
State police said someone broke into the Escape Nail Spa in Franklin Twp. between 8 p.m. Sept. 23 and 9:40 a.m. Sept. 24 and broke open the cash register. No cash was in the register, police said.
Handguns stolen
State police said two handguns were stolen from a residence on Dillie Road in Washington Twp. sometime between July 24 and Sept. 24.
Vehicles collide
State police said vehicles driven by Frank DeLuca, 55, of Dilliner and Dorothy Cole, 83, of Carmichaels collided at the intersection of Route 88 and Ceylon Road in Carmichaels Borough at 9:24 a.m. Sept. 28. No injuries were reported.
Woman charged
State police said Paxton Sanderford, 22, no address, was charged with forcing her way into the residence of Caitlin Fess, 19, of 1785 Morris Street in Waynesburg, assaulting Fess and stealing her phone before fleeing in her car just after midnight Sept. 15. Police said Sanderford later arrived at the state police barracks and admitted to her actions. Charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Lee Watson.
Theft from car
Barbara Herrington of Waynesburg told state police that $500 worth of tools were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the lot of Giant Eagle in Franklin Twp. Sept. 24.
Window smashed
State police said the rear passenger side window of a vehicle belonging to Jeremy Lawrence Kelly of Spraggs was smashed between midnight and 8 a.m. Sept. 28 while it parked in front of 953 Drift Ridge Road in Wayne Twp. Computer stolen
A laptop computer belonging to an unidentified woman living on Castile Ridge Road in Morgan Twp., was stolen from her vehicle between Sept. 8 and 16, state police said. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact state police at 724-627-6151.
Window smashed
State police said sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 27 and 8 a.m. Sept. 28 someone smashed the driver side window of Anna Loraine McCartney’s vehicle while it was parked in front of 322 Wilson Road in Perry Twp. Windows shot
State police said sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 3:32 a.m. Sept. 28 someone shot the windows of a truck and the Bruceton Petroleum building on Route 218 in Franklin Twp. with a BB gun. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact state police at 724-627-6151.
Burglary reported
State police reported that someone broke the glass door to Little Caesars Pizza in Franklin Twp. shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday and stole the cash register from the counter.
