James Edward (Jim) Sweeney, age 46, of Carmichaels, died August 29, 2016 in Uniontown Hospital of a heart attack.

Mr. Sweeney was born December 15,1969 in Waynesburg, the son of the late Robert Sweeney and Connie King Sweeney.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Kurley Sweeney. They were married on June 13, 2009.

Also surviving are two sons, Patrick Swartz (Sandy) and Christopher Swartz, both of Carmichaels; two grandchildren, Mason and Madison Swartz; two sisters, Barbara Sweeney and Tresa Lipscomb (Kenneth); one brother, William Sweeney (Barbara), of Jefferson and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jordan Sweeney.

Jim was a tow truck driver for the Carmichaels Service Center.

He was a member of the Jessop Boat Club and Bobtown Rod and Gun Club.

Jim loved his family, and driving his big Rollback.

Friends will be received in the Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, on Friday September 2, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Harold O. Kelley, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lesako Funeral Home Inc. to defray costs.
