Donald L. Hearn
Donald L. Hearn, 68, of Waynesburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2016, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born January 9, 1948, a son of the late Ray and Martha Hearn of Smithfield.
Mr. Hearn was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was the beloved husband of 14 years to Ruthie Hearn of Waynesburg; loving father of Joshua Hearn; adored stepfather of Lori (Blane) Rockafellow, Tony (Patty) Lacava and Adam (Mindie) Corwin; dear son-in-law of Verna Alexander; cherished brother of Dr. Raymond Hearn, Gregory (the late Colleen) Hearn, Kathy (Jerry) Pompei and Debbie (Brad) Burnett; treasured grandfather of Andrew and Nicholas Rockafellow and Codey and Hunter Kincaid; and brother-in-law of Libby (Tom) Diana. A friend of the family, Doug, and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends also survive.
Mr. Hearn was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church, Waynesburg, and Oak Grove Church of Christ, Lake Lynn.
He was a 1970 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in business.
Mr. Hearn was a retired operations manager, an active Pennsylvania Aerie secretary and a former state president of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of Waynesburg Eagles Aerie 598 for more than 40 years and a member of Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461. He was past worshipful master mason of Masonic Lodge 459 in Masontown.
At the family’s request, all services will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray.
