Jefferson-Morgan earned a 3-1 Section 2-A victory over Carmichaels on Tuesday night at Jefferson-Morgan.

The Lady Rockets won the first two sets (25-23, 25-20) but lost, 15-25, to the Lady Mikes in the third set. J-M earned a 25-17 victory in the fourth set.

Jefferson-Morgan’s Brooke Diamond and Anna Matlish had six kills, while Erin Confortini led her team with 13 service points.

Carmichaels’ Aubree Ferek had 11 service points and seven kills, while teammate Laura Walker had nine service points and 12 digs. Meighan Spishock had eight service points and 12 digs.

Kristina Aeschbacher (three blocks, eight kills), Elaine Kerr (five kills), Jadyn Barnish (15 assists) and Grace Kerr (12 assists) made significant contributions for the Lady Mikes.

Carmichaels (0-1, 1-2) returns to action tonight when it travels to Brownsville for a non-section match at 7 p.m. while the Lady Rockets (1-1, 1-1) travel to Mapletown on Thursday.
