Garden Club discusses present and future plans

An all-member discussion was the September program for the Town & Country Garden Club.
The discussion was led by Kay Bair, club president. Members shared their gardening successes or failures. Others told of new plants tried and liked or not liked. Members also described gardens they have visited. Many ideas were presented for future garden projects.
The club presently maintains the Rices Landing Triangle at the entrance of Rices Landing Borough, the Carmichaels Town Square, Flenniken Library, and the “Plant-it-Pink” garden at the Cornerstone Care Clinic in Greensboro in support of a cure for breast cancer.
Plans were discussed for the annual Cookie Walk Luncheon to be held on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Carmichaels Activity Center. This luncheon supports the club’s annual scholarship fund.
