Delbert W. Herrington, Jr.
Delbert W. Herrington, Jr., age 65, of Waynesburg, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Washington Hospital.
He was born November 22, 1951 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Delbert W. Herrington and Ina Ruth Cooper Herrington Shingleton.
Mr. Herrington retired from PennDot and had also worked for Adam Eidemiller Construction on the I-79 project.
He was a lifetime resident of Greene County. He was an avid pool player and was a member of the Waynesburg Eagles Aerie 598, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 461 and The Disabled American Veterans.
He enjoyed playing Santa Claus and gardening. He also liked to compete in demolition derbies and attend flea markets.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Rutan Herrington, whom he married on August 8, 1970.
Also surviving are three sons, Delbert Herrington III (Carrie) of Hardy, Virginia, Nathan Herrington (Sherri Jones) of Waynesburg and Matthew Herrington (Heather) of Uniontown; one grandson, Nathan Herrington Jr. and one sister Sharon Herrington of Waynesburg.
Deceased are two brothers, who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg followed by a service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Rick Croyle officiating.
