Dean’s big day not enough in Rockets’ 3-2 setback to Dynamos

By The Greene County Messenger 1 min read

Jefferson-Morgan’s Isaac Dean doubled and hit a home run in the seventh inning, but it wasn’t enough for the Rockets in a 3-2 non-section loss to the Dynamos on Tuesday at Jefferson-Morgan.

Dean’s double in the first knocked in the first run for Jefferson-Morgan (3-0, 3-4), but Springdale responded with a run in the second, fourth and seventh innings to take a 3-1 advantage into the bottom of the seventh. Dean’s solo homer cut the deficit to one, but coach John Curtis’ team couldn’t get the tying score.

The Rockets’ Eli Rafail had two singles.

Devin Stoneking had two strikeouts and walked four in taking the pitching loss.

Spingdale’s Dylan Hargenrader won on the mound after striking out six and not walking a batter. Teammate and brother Levi Hargenrader doubled.

Springdale improved to 2-4 overall.
