Lena Kathryn King, 91, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 5, 1925 in Brave, a daughter of the late Jasper R. and Sara Sine Martin.

On November 11, 1947, she married Earl Warren King, who died in 1993.

Mrs. King was a 70-year member of Allegheny Wesleyan Church in Waynesburg. She worked at Busy Bee in Waynesburg and as a volunteer for Produce to People.

She enjoyed reading, church, children and sitting in the sun. She was a lifelong good Samaritan, providing meals, lodging and love for others.

Surviving are four daughters, Sara “Sally” Knisley, Wanda Snyder, Barbara Misechok and Christine E. “Tina” King; two sons, Ronald Lee Martin and Terry Warren King; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother C. Kenneth Martin of Waynesburg and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Opal Martin, Louie Martin and Lela Martin Stevens and five brothers, Nelson “Bus” Martin, Charles Martin, Don Martin, Robert Martin and Edsle Martin.

Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, and from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of services, Saturday, April 29, in Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, 355 Washington Road, Waynesburg, with the Rev. Rick Croyle officiating, followed by burial in Rosemont Cemetery at Rogersville.
