Nicholas Hunter Hillsman, age 19, of Rices Landing, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in a traffic accident.

He was born April 10, 1998 in Washington, a son of Gregory S. Hillsman and Lisa M. Laight Hillsman.

He was a 2016 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School and worked for Barnhart Honda in the parts and service department.

Mr. Hillsman had a quick wit and great sense of humor. He was a history buff. He was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed playing street hockey. He also enjoyed gaming, hunting, and collecting guns.

Surviving are his father Gregory Hillsman (Bonnie Cunningham) of Rices Landing; his mother, Lisa Hillsman of Jefferson; maternal grandmother, Patricia Laight of Clarksville; paternal grandparents, Stephen Hillsman of Carmichaels and Connie Hillsman of Carmichaels; one sister, Emily Hillsman of Jefferson; a stepsister, Lacie Gaines (Troy Lutes) of Carmichaels; a step-brother, Casey Gaines of New Freeport. He was uncle to Blakelea and Braysen Lutes. Also surviving are his aunts, Jackie, Terrie, Andrea, Kate, Jen, Dee and Melody and uncles, Todd, David, Jimmy M., Brian, Jimmy K., Jason, and Michael.

Deceased is an aunt, Patty Burwell.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna Supervisor, a service will be held at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests casual attire and Pittsburgh Penguin’s gear.
