Steve E. Fonner
Steve E. Fonner, 62, of Sycamore, died at 11:01 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016, at home.
He was born Wednesday, August 18, 1954 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles Fonner and Dora Sapp Fonner.
Mr. Fonner was a member of the United Mine Workers Association. When his health permitted he enjoyed hunting. For 32 years he worked as a coal miner for Emerald Coal Mine in Waynesburg.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Phillips) Fonner, whom he married on August 18, 2006.
Also surviving are four sons, Kenneth Yeager, of Waynesburg, Steve E. Fonner, Jr., Christopher (Heather) Yeager and Kevin Yeager, all of Sycamore; six grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Broadwater, of Jefferson, Donna Moniger and Diane Fonner, both of Waynesburg; two brothers, James Fonner and Mark Fonner, both of Waynesburg and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Bonnie Fonner and Karen Fonner.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services. A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, is in charge of arrangements. Burial is private.
