William L. Zeller
William L. Zeller, 89, formerly of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016.
He was born in Alaska, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Zeller. His father was a forest ranger and they settled down in the State College area.
Mr. Zeller was in the U.S. Army and earned an engineering degree in mining from Pennsylvania State University.
He became the first general manager of Cumberland Mine in Greene County.
Mr. Zeller loved the outdoors and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 102 in Uniontown.
He moved to Price, Utah, where he became executive vice president of Emmery Mines.
In November 1981, he married Marilyn Hattis.
Also surviving are five children, Chris Cosden (Gil), William “Shane” Zeller (Debbie), Dr. Donald Zeller (Diane), Robert Zeller (Lisa) and Patrick Zeller (Dianna); 11 grandchildren, Katie and Sarah Cosden and Billy (Merrideth), John (Ann), Elizabeth, Steven (Amanda), Robert, Brian, Patrick, Shawley and William Zeller and three great-grandchildren, Kylee, Riley and Ethan.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
