Paul E. Haines, age 81, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away at Kettering Medical Center on July 18, 2017.

Mr. Haines is survived by his wife of sixty years, Wretha; three children, daughter, Twila (Ernest) Boyd of London Ohio, son, Jeff (Doreen) Haines of Beavercreek, daughter, Darla (Robert) Baird of Beavercreek; seven grandchildren, Richard (Jessica) Boyd, Thomas Boyd, Allyson (Chris) Sanders, Ashley Haines, Cameron “Cami” Baird, Ryan Baird, Ian Baird; one great-grandchild, MJ Boyd; a sister, Laura Lemley and two brothers, Russell (Ruth) and Willis (Ellen) Haines.

Mr. Haines was a US Navy veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he worked as a computer specialist at W.P.A.F.B for 31 years. He was a member of Aley United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 763, Xenia Masonic Lodge 49, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and the Fairborn White Shrine. He was also a longtime former member of Greene Co. Harness Horseman’s Association.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and caring for his farm animals. He loved his motor home and God’s great outdoors and was a member of The United Methodist Heritage Campers.

Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday July 22, 2017, at Aley United Methodist Church, 4143 Kemp Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio. Friends are welcome to call from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be additional visitation on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. the time of service at the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, with Rev. Ken Kirk and Pastor Monica Calvert officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Graveside Military rites will be accorded by the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 of Mt. Morris. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 324 Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris, Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Aley United Methodist Church in Paul’s memory.
