Sophie Krivosky

Sophie Krivosky, 96, of Vermilion, Ohio and formerly of Carmichaels, passed away at 10:29 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Mill Manor Nursing Home, Vermilion.
She was born June 21, 1921 in Nemacolin, a daughter of the late Eli and Mary (Bencheck) Popovich.
Mrs. Krivosky resided in Cumberland Township, Greene County, for most of her life and was a member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Carmichaels. While residing in Carmichaels, she was a member of the Carmichaels Senior Center.
On April 20, 1944, she married Pete Krivosky, who died February 7, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Lewis (Dick) of Clarion and Judi Shimrock (Pete) of Vermilion; six grandchildren, Michele Carroll (Michael), Michael Lewis (Erin), Danielle Hoebing, Peter Shimrock (Sarita), Christian Shimrock and Brandi Shimrock; eight great-grandchildren, Derek Hoebing, Mikayla and Macey Carroll, Hailey and Kendra Shimrock, Jesse, Tyler and Lacie Lewis and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Joe Popovich, Steve Popovich and Nick Popovich and a sister, Anna Holda.
Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017. Father Rodney Torbic will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. A Pomen service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 296 Old Route 21, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
