Carol J. Morse
Carol J. Morse, 77, of Liberty Township, Grove City, passed away on Saturday evening, May 20, 2017, following a brief illness.
Carol was born July 2, 1939, in Cortland, New York, the oldest of five children, to the late George Elwin and Bernice (Leinbaugh) Johnston.
She married the Rev. Willard S. Morse on July 13, 1957.
Together they raised four sons, and for Carol, her faith in God and her family were her “focus of being.”
Having been a vital part of many churches and communities, she was most recently a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.
In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, she is survived by four sons, Michael “Mike” (Linda), the Rev. Steve (Lynne), Eric (Elaine) and Scott (Anne); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Jane) and Dr. E. Peter (Beth); two sisters, Cindy (Vinnie) and Wendy (Rick) and many nieces and nephews.
She and Willard resided in Gibsonia, from 1972-1986, in Mount Morris, from 1986-1998 and in the Grove City area since 1998.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Grace United Methodist Church, 210 S. Broad St., Grove City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol’s memory may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 210 S. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127.
