Donald G. Walker Sr., 79, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg.

He was born February 7, 1938, in Cumberland Township, Greene County, a son of the late J. Frank and Hilda G. Dugan Walker.

Mr. Walker was a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and worked as a welder for McGraw-Edison in Canonsburg. Later in life, he worked as an independent gas well consultant.

He was a member of New Apostolic Church in Crucible.

Mr. Walker enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.

On December 8, 1956, he married Doris Jean Dublin, who died August 24, 2007.

Surviving are seven children, Clifford J. Walker and wife Marlene of Carmichaels, Donald G. Walker Jr. and Bonnie Walker of Clarksville, Rhoda Dean and husband Joe of Lusby, Maryland, Edward L. Walker and wife Lori of Holbrook, Harriet J. Kelley of Waynesburg, Lindley A. Walker Sr. and Angie Jacobs of Fredericktown and Dwayla Walker and Nick Nichols of Fredericktown; grandchildren Sophia Walker, Laura Walker, Johnathan Flenniken, Ken Flenniken, Bradley and Malory Walker, Tawnie Dean and fiancé Mike Roth, Joey Dean and fiancée Veronica Hodgson, Lindley and Katie Walker Jr., Emyle Walker, Ciera Jacobs, Haley and Justin Farrar, Travis Farrar, Amy Kelley and Demetrius Felder, Noah Nichols and Emily West, Joshua Nichols, Lina Nichols and Tammy Mahich; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Main of Rogersville and Yvonna McGlone of Pennsylvania and a brother, Ira J. Walker of Ohio.

Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are two daughters, Helen Walker and Doris Jean Walker, who died in infancy; two brothers, James Walker and John Walker and three sisters, Elizabeth Davis, Marjorie Six and Dottie Walker.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, June 3, in Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Interment will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Khedive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local favorite charity of the donor.
