FAIR ENTRIES – The Greene County Fair is now accepting entry forms for livestock and home and garden departments until June 30. Fair books with all departments and classes can be found at www.greenecountyfair.org.
ARTISTS, VENDORS NEEDED – Nathanael Greene Community Development Corporation is looking for artists and vendors for the 12th annual Art Blast on the Mon, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Ice Plant Pavilion at Stoney Hill Road in Greensboro. DAY CAMP – Greene County Day Camp is being held now through July 28. All Greene County children ages 5-15 are welcome to attend county day camps. The programs include fun activities, with hot lunch and snacks provided. Day camp hours are Mondays thru Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except for July 4. SPECIAL EVENT – A pulled pork and chicken dinner and Chinese auction will be held on Saturday, June 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Center Township Fire Hall in Rogersville. CAR SHOW – The Greene County Walk to End Alzheimer’s Benefit Car Show will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 12 to 4 p.m. in Carmichaels.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION – The Carmichaels 250th Birthday Celebration will be held June 29 thru July 2. The celebration will feature events at Carmichaels School, Greene Academy, Town Square and Wana B Park. A kick-off celebration dinner will be held on Thursday, June 30. Other events will include wagon rides, train display, driving tour, commemorative quite, car show reenactor set-up, old-time church service and more.
OPEN HOUSE – Waynesburg Community Center, located at 1505 Morris St. in Waynesburg, will host an open house and “4th of July Celebration” on Friday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, popcorn, drinks, games and prizes. NET MAGIC – The NET MAGIC free basketball camp for youths ages 6-16 will be held July 10, 14, 17 and 21 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. each day at the First Assembly of God – Eastview’s Family Life Center, located at 4131 W. FAIR ATTRACTION – Take an educational walk in Penn’s Woods and learn about Pennsylvania’s nation-leading hardwoods industry through the new Pennsylvania WoodMobile, which will be one of the exhibits at this year’s Greene County Fair. The exhibit will be available Aug. 7-11 from 2 to 10 p.m. daily.

50S FEST – The 16th annual 50’s Fest & Car Cruise will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. in downtown Waynesburg. There will be classic cars, trucks and motorcycles on the main drag.
COLORING PROGRAM – The Eva K. Bowlby Library in Waynesburg is presenting “Color Outside the Lines,” a program for adults who may be interested in the latest craze of adult coloring books. Coloring books are not just for children. The process of coloring has been shown to be stress-reducing, calm-inducing and joy-producing, for people of all ages. The library will provide coloring sheets and supplies to get you started. Join the library weekly every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library.
CRAFT NIGHTS – The Bowlby Library’s monthly Adult Craft Night is held on the first Thursday of each month and the second Saturday each month. Seating is limited; call the library at 724-627-9776 to sign up or stop by the circulation desk.
WEIGHT SUPPORT – T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a weight management support group that meets every Saturday at the Bowlby Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
