Lena Lou Stoneking
Lena Lou Stoneking, 74, of Holbrook, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 21, 2017, in her home, with family by her side.
She was born July 29, 1942, in Fairmont, West Virginia, a daughter of the late James Washington and Riffle Rebecca Eddy Bell.
Mrs. Stoneking was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, Holbrook. She was a 50-year resident of Pine Bank.
On October 8, 1961, she married James William Stoneking.
Mrs. Stoneking enjoyed sitting and watching wildlife that came onto her property. She loved taking people on ghost rides and cooking. She loved being around babies; it always brought her joy. She enjoyed spending all the time she could with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, James William Stoneking of Holbrook; four children, Randy (Maureen) Stoneking of Brave, Brenda Sue (Kenneth) Hughes of Pine Bank, Daniel Ray (Jodie) Stoneking of Center Highlands and Malinda (Donald) John of Pine Bank; two sisters, Catherine Golden of Elizabeth, Kentucky and Jane Tennant of Spraggs; three brothers, George Bell of Spraggs, Kenneth Bell of Pine Bank and Robert Bell of Spraggs; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Ruby Stewart, and eight brothers, Jim, Fred, Archie, Jack, Donald, Arthur, Delbert and David Bell.
Friends were received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kesterson- Rush Funeral Home LLC, 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, where services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24. Interment followed in Pine Bank Cemetery, Gilmore Township.
